Kansas City Hip Hop Artist 1

This Kansas City Hip Hop Artist is a rapper/singer/songwriter/musician originally from South Bend, Indiana. His parents gave him his first set of drums at the age of 3 and by age 5 he was singing and acting in musicals and plays in his hometown. His first stage appearance was with the children’s chorus in a 1995 community production of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat.

His family moved to the Kansas City, Missouri area in 2000, where in 2006 he co-founded and was the drummer for alternative rock band, Auburn Skies. In that same time period, this Kansas City Hip Hop Artist founded the first drum line for the newly established high school he attended, Saint James Academy in Lenexa, Kansas. Also, while at Saint James, he performed in the school’s productions of Annie, Once On This Island, The Miracle Worker, Seussical and Thoroughly Modern Mille. He also performed in Musical Theater for Young People’s productions of Cabaret, Happy Days and Anything Goes.

In 2010, this Kansas City Hip Hop Artist began attending the University of Kansas in Lawrence, Kansas. While there, his band Auburn Skies changed lineups and re-branded as Wolf, the Rabbit. In 2011, he dropped out of KU, dissolved Wolf, the Rabbit and began pursuing a solo career in the hip-hop field.

His first two singles as an independent hip hop artist— “Introduction”and “Work”—were released in March 2012. Also, at this time he began making live appearances in the Midwest area, including Lawrence,Denver and parts of Texas. This Kansas City Hip Hop Artist spent most of 2014 composing and recording in Los Angeles with noted producers Duane “DaRock” Ramos (LL Cool J, Busta Rhymes,Jay-Z, Faith Evans, Mary J. Blige), and in Atlanta with Grammy®Award winning producer Alvin “DJ Toomp” Davis (2 Live Crew, T.I., Kanye West) and Miykal Snoddy (Jamie Foxx, Trey Songz, Young Jeezy, Kanye West).

In December2014, this Kansas City Hip Hop Artist's song “I’m Sick” (produced and co-written by Miykal Snoddy) was featured on the Future Star DJs Black Friday mix tape release, hosted by DJ L-Nyce. Also in December, The Midwest Music Foundation selected him to perform on the main Mid Coast Takeover stage at the March 2015 SXSW (South by Southwest) Music Festival in Austin, Texas.

He released the official video for Whiskey for the Devil, directed by Morgan Cooper, on April 17, 2015. The official video for Me vs. the Real World, also directed by Morgan Cooper, was released in September 2015.
