Based in Washington, DC, this Washington DC Flamenco Guitarist began his musical journey at the Peabody Preparatory, where he studied classical guitar. He later earned a BFA in Classical Guitar Performance from the University of Georgia, studying under renowned guitarist John Sutherland.

His career in Flamenco started with a cross-country motorcycle trip to California that began in Atlanta, and on the way back East landed him in Santa Fe, New Mexico. It was in Santa Fethat he began his study of the Flamenco guitar with the extraordinary guitarist, José “Chuscales” Fajardo and then with American innovator Carlos Lomas. On a trip to Jerez, Spain, this Washington DC Flamenco Guitarist took his first cante studies with Alfonso de Jerez. However, his most important influence for the cante, and for Flamenco in general, was and continuous to be the renowned maestro Jesus Montoya.
