Oklahoma City Mariachi School & Community Programs
Beyond live performances, this Oklahoma City Mariachi group is deeply committed to music education and cultural preservation.
In 2005, they helped create the first Mariachi school programs in Oklahoma City with support from VH1. The program was successfully established in three elementary schools within Oklahoma City Public Schools and supported by the Anita Martinez Mariachi Festival.
Despite recent budget cuts affecting two of the original programs, the group continues its mission. They are currently partnering with Academia OKC to develop new after-school and in-school Mariachi programs open to students throughout the Oklahoma City area.
Their commitment to youth education ensures that Mariachi music remains vibrant for future generations.
