This Lake Charles Cajun Singer was born and raised in the city of Lake Charles located in the Southwest corner of Louisiana. He was surrounded by a variety of musical influences such as Cajun, Creole, Zydeco, Blues, Country & Western and Texas Swing. His family migrated to this area in 1950s in search of work, but despite growing up nearly 100 miles from the hub of Cajun country, the music he creates is, without a doubt, Cajun.

For nearly twenty years, this Lake Charles Cajun Singer has been involved in the Cajun music scene. In 1996, he joined the Grammy nominated group, The Basin Brothers, and played bass with them for nearly two years. It was late 1997 when he joined Balfa Toujours, a group founded by the daughter of the world famous Cajun fiddler, Dewey Balfa. It was with this group that he had the opportunity to tour the world.

During his time with Balfa Toujours, this Lake Charles Cajun Singer played traditional Cajun music is 43 states, Canada, England, Ireland, Mexico and the U.S. Virgin Islands. Some of the venues played during that time include the Newport Folk Festival, the Winnipeg Folk Festival, The Edmonton Folk Festival, MerleFest, The Vancouver Folk Festival, Festival Acadiens and the Festivale du Voyageur.
Always a strong supporter of traditional Cajun music, this artist doesn’t concern himself with being “Cajun enough.” As an artist, he believes that it is necessary to create from life experiences, and his life encompasses so much more than Cajun life.
