New to the area and with a recent doctorate, and advanced degrees in classical guitar from the Manhattan School of Music in New York, this Charlotte Classical Guitarist has performed at resorts in Lake Lure and Chimney Rock of western North Carolina. His music ranges from the familiar Wedding Classics like Pachelbel Canon in D, the Wedding March and Jesu, Joy to top notch renditions of standards, light Jazz, Beatles and light Pop, Hymns, Brazilian and Broadway tunes.

This Charlotte Classical Guitarist is one of today's passionate avatar's for the guitar. Over 50 works have been written for him by living composers. He won 1st Prize at the VIth International Competition for Classical Guitar in San Juan, Puerto Rico, and was Finalist at the Guitar Foundation of America Competition in Milwaukee. Formal solo concert appearances include New York, Chicago, Boston, Charlotte, Asheville, Birmingham, San Diego, Champaign-Urbana, Milwaukee, Berlin, Darmstadt, Dresden, Cologne, Giessen, Marburg, Paris, Orléans, Rome, Geneva, Cyprus, Tokyo, and Singapore, among others.

As a freelance artist, this Charlotte Classical Guitarist has appeared in New York at Macy's on 34th St., Tavern on the Green in Central Park, and at the private 5th Avenue residence of Phil Donahue and Marlo Thomas, among others. In North Carolina, he has appeared at resorts in Lake Lure, many private Golf Clubs and at the historic The Esmeralda Inn in Chimney Rock. He is also on the roster of performers for the 2012 Democratic Convention in Charlotte as well.

This Charlotte Classical Guitarist repertoire, besides the classical works, spans into the "Continental" style with Standards, light Pop and Jazz, some Hymns and Spirituals, as well as Broadway and ethnic works such as Brazilian Bossa Novas and Sambas, Italian Songs, and Jewish pieces. He also has over 25 years of performing weddings. He has B.M and M.M. degrees in Classical Guitar Performance from Manhattan School of Music in New York and a D.M.A. in Contemporary Performance from the University of California San Diego. This Charlotte Classical Guitarist has recorded for SEAMUS, Albany, Vienna Modern Masters, Capstone, Hungaroton and Mode Records.
