Max DuBose and the Mplants are guaranteed quality performances and a great show. – The Shed Recording Studios, Lake Worth, FL
“Over You Now” by Lake Worth-based Max DuBose and the Mplants is a swampy gumbo of country, blues and other roots music styles. Vocalist/guitarist DuBose is adept at tongue-in-cheek novelty tunes like “My Band Got the Blame,” an early highlight, but the subsequent ballad “I Love You Through the Wind” also stands out.
Recorded at The Shed in Lake Worth, DuBose’s third release also features guitarist/vocalist Rick Cohen, slide guitarist Steven Volante, bassist Chris Baker, drummer Ric Pattison, and backing vocalists Suzanne Cannon and Jade Walker. Late gems include the ballad “When My Everything is Gone” and the comical “Heartburn, Cheatin’ and Pork Rinds.”-Bill Meridith~Palm Beach Post
