Charlotte German Band 1
Formed in 1973, this Charlotte German Band has developed into one of the South's finest Bavarian bands. For Octoberfests, Fashing parties, or special occasions with a German theme or flavor, they are the perfect choice. Attired in authentic Bavarian costumes, the group is all set to provide very special entertainment with completely authentic Bavarian music.
From the sounds of the beautiful alpine countries of Germany and Austria to the Tyrolean and Oberkrain waltzes and polkas, the evening will be filled with familiar strains and the special touch of this Charlotte German Band. There will be alp horn playing, yodeling, tuned alpine bells, and even the "singing saw" will be played. All the gusto and fun of an authentic Bavarian beer hall are at your fingertips.
Charlotte German Band versatility
However, the versatility of the group goes far beyond a German theme. This band is also right at home with the Latin standards, Tex-Mex, country, country and western, etc. Almost everything on the American scene except high energy or hard rock, soul, or funk. So, feel free to book this group for mixed crowds where German music is to be the main theme but other music is needed and wanted.
This Charlotte German Band can perform with 4 to 6 musicians consisting of accordion, tuba, guitar, and drums. For bigger functions, clarinet, trumpet, and dancers can be added. The PA utilizes an eight channel Electro Voice mixer, a thirty-two band Alesis equalizer, two Crown power amps, three Electro Voice monitors, and two Klipsch front speakers.
Charlotte German Band leader
The accordionist and the leader of the band, after placing fourth in the world on the accordion, went on to acquire his theory and harmony at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Since 1973, he has molded this Charlotte German Band into a truly outstanding Bavarian band that has played to enthusiastic crowds all over the eastern United States.
