Philadelphia German Band
The sounds of the Alps, of Germany, Austria and Switzerland - that's what this Philadelphia German Band is all about. Their unique blend of music, our costumes, sing-alongs and audience participating performances create Gemuetlichkeit, a coming together and a festive atmosphere at festivals, in music halls, ethnic clubs and special celebrations.
Oktoberfest is not the only occasion where Bavarian Music is enjoyed and appreciated. They have performed at the Shawnee Balloon Festival, Camelback Ski Resort, Waterloo Village MA, Lafayette College, Drexel University, Penns Landing in Philadelphia and Bethlehem's Musikfest in addition to German clubs.
Philadelphia German Band show
Very popular is this Philadelphia German Band's Schnitzelbank-Show. The Schnitzelbank is a traditional German student song, it encourages the audience to sing along, and try their pronunciation at pretty funny old German words that make up the Schnitzelbank.
The Alpenglocken, a tuned set of bells used in the Alpine countries, provide a unique sound when they play Edelweiss and other popular tunes.
They are always expanding their repertoire.
Philadelphia German Band music
Whether this Philadelphia German Band plays the Beer Barrel Polka or Jimmy Buffett's Margaritaville, even people that don't like to dance can't help tapping to the rhythm of their music.
