Toronto Harpist 4
This Toronto Harpist is the first harpist to pursue a doctorate of Music in Harp Performance in Canada and she is quickly gaining a reputation as one of North America’s pre-eminent new harp talents. Currently a Doctoral Candidate under the tutelage of Canadian harpist Judy Loman at the University of Toronto, she has been a featured performer at prestigious harp events throughout Canada and the U.S. She is a chamber coach and teaching assistant at the University of Toronto, and adjudicates recitals at the Glenn Gould School of Music. She was first place winner of the American Harp Society Toronto Chapter’s 2009 competition, and this Toronto Harpist was also selected as one of four performers to play in a master class at the 2008 American Harp Society Conference.
Toronto Harpist performances
A champion of new music, this Toronto Harpist performs actively as a chamber musician. She can be seen regularly playing in the New Music Festival in Toronto; last year performing with Soprano, Lorna MacDonald. She also performs regularly with a flutist. This year she has performed with the Talisker Players, with Orchestra London, in the musical Cinderella in London, ON, along with many other chamber concerts, premiers, and recording sessions. This summer she will be playing a solo harp recital, concerts with her duo partner, and also shows at the Stratford Festival.

This Toronto Harpist is principal harpist with an Orchestra. She has also performed with headlining artists such as Colin James, Paul Potts, and for Video Games Live. Previously, she has played with the University of Toronto Orchestra (2007-2011), was invited to attend and play with the Symphonic Orchestra Academy of the Pacific (2009), made her debut with the Hart House Chamber Strings Orchestra performing the Debussy Danses Harp Concerto in April (2008), played with the National Arts Centre Orchestra (2006-2007), was principal harpist with the University of Ottawa Orchestra (2003-2007), and principal harpist of the Ottawa Chamber Orchestra (2003-2006), where this Toronto Harpist made her Concerto debut in 2006.
This Toronto Harpist completed her Bachelors of Music from the University of Ottawa in 2007, and her Master of Music from the University of Toronto in 2009.
