Crumac
You will enjoy the music of Crumac if you have a love of Irish Music, of the drive and excitement of the Jigs and Reels, and of the picture of Irish life and times given in the many ballads and drinking songs of The Emerald Isle.
Crumac performances
Crumac arose, phoenix-like, from the premiere Irish band in Seattle and the Pacific Northwest for two decades. This trio's polish and obvious affinity for playing traditional Irish music together makes for an exciting listening, and drinking, experience. Since 1989, together and in various combinations they have played from coast to coast - including the largest Irish music festival in the country - and as far west as Alaska and as far east as Japan. They are in high demand for concerts, corporate events and weddings.
Crumac members
The fiddler and guitarist/singer have been mainstays of the Northwest Celtic Music scene since the mid-1970’s. Together with three friends they formed the region’s first traditional Irish music band, in 1975, and have continued playing together ever since. The third member of Crumac, the Irish piper, grew up in Dublin learning in one of the best environments possible, the Pipers' Club headquarters on Thomas Street. He played extensively in Europe and Canada before moving to Seattle. He has long been widely regarded as one of the foremost pipers in North America.
“We hired [them] for a pre-St. Patrick’s Day blitz and were very impressed. The music is fantastic, and the upbeat personalities of the musicians really add to any occasion. I am planning to use them again next year, and at several occasions in between. They not only live up to their reputation, they surpass it.” – Samantha Ford, Marketing Manager, Diageo. April 2006
“You guys did such a great job at our wedding reception. All of our guests kept commenting on how original and unique it was to have an Irish Band at their wedding. They loved your performance, even those not familiar with Irish music. You kept the event upbeat and light-hearted, which is exactly what we wanted. The kids loved dancing to the music, and you played such a good variety of songs, there was something for everyone. You were so easy to work with over email, that made everything even better.”- Jennifer Hinshaw July 2005
