Raleigh Latin Band 1
This Raleigh Latin Band is a Caribbean dance Orchestra, consisting of local and international musicians living in The Triangle area of North Carolina. The popularity of Latin rhythms such as the Merengue, Cha Cha, and Salsa, allowed their group to display a wide range of styles in festivals and places where people could listen, dance, learn, and most of all enjoy these rhythms of Latin music.
Raleigh Latin Band leader
The leader of this Raleigh Latin Band has been singing all of his life and has entertained crowds and dancers in the area for over 20 years. Salsa music has been a part of his life since he was a child having met many Salsa greats such as, Hector Lavoe, Celia Cruz, Ruben Blades, Oscar D' Leon, and Tito Rojas; courtesy of his parents introductions as a child.
Raleigh Latin Band members
Since its beginning back in October of 2007 this Raleigh Latin Band has had a busy performing schedule. This versatile group includes musicians from the United States, Puerto Rico, Colombia and Venezuela. Many of the band members have been involved in the local and international Latin music scenes previously, in both recordings and performances with Roberto Roena y su Apollo Sound, Carnavalito, El Grupo Cardi, Orquesta GarDel, Ciclon Band, Sajaso, El Grupo Camaleon, Fusion Caribe, Sarengue, Songo, La Sexta Clave, Charanga Carolina and Conjunto 23.
Adding to this diversity, some of the players have had involvement in many other styles of music such as jazz, funk, fusion, rock, soul, reggae, ska, rhythm 'n blues, heavy metal, folk and classical. This Raleigh Latin Band consists of the lead singer and of 7 up to 12 guest musicians.
