The Turnaround Jazz Ensemble

The Turnaround Jazz Ensemble is a professional jazz group featuring piano, upright bass, and jazz drums, with a saxophone and/or a vocalist. They play jazz standards, bebop, ballads and bossa novas, as well as blues, Latin and Brazilian jazz, and soulful grooves. They play jazz in wedding ceremonies too.

Venues they played include the Ritz-Carlton in Half Moon Bay and in San Francisco, San Francisco City Hall’s Rotunda, the Westin St. Francis, the SF Symphony Gala at Macy’s Union Square, The California Academy of Sciences, the San Francisco City Club, the Trocadero Clubhouse at Stern Grove, The Exploratorium, The Claremont Resort and the Brazilian Room in Berkeley, Napa’s Chateau de Vie Winery, the Fairmont Resort in Sonoma, The Harvest Inn in St. Helena, the Hakone Gardens in Saratoga, the San Jose Tech Museum, The Rosewood Hotel in Menlo Park, and the Henry Miller Library in Big Sur.

The Turnaround Jazz Ensemble repertoire

Discounts are available for charities and non-profits. Their repertoire includes the work of Miles Davis, Duke Ellington, Charlie Parker, Frank Sinatra, Thelonious Monk, Herbie Hancock, George Gershwin, Irving Berlin, Tom Jobim, Bill Evans, and other great composers and performers of the American and world jazz traditions. The band will work with your schedule and needs and are very friendly and accommodating. They carry liability insurance for venues that require it.
