New York Rock Band 2
This New York Rock Band delivers solid and hard hitting pop rock music with soaring guitars and throbbing rhythms lying comfortably beneath the singer's distinctive voice, immediately becoming a part of your life’s backdrop like it’s been playing for years; a part of your growing up, dealing with work, love, and life.
They began playing for very large audiences early in game including an opening slot a sold-out Rusted Root performance only six months after the bands inception in 2005. This New York Rock Band released its debut album to coincide with a sold-out performance of their own at LiveTrax in Bellmore, New York in 2006. The album quickly garnered the attention of the local press, and was named one of the ten best albums of the year by the nationally distributed Inside Connection magazine. The local airwaves soon followed suit, with the band finding a home in the regular rotation of college and internet radio stations, as well as the mainstream WMJC 94.3 FM in NY.
New York Rock Band shows
With a loyal grassroots following well in hand, this New York Rock Band sets out to tour the Northeastern United States, playing venues big and small from Virginia to New Hampshire, in front of an ever expanding fan base. Some notable shows include a residence during the summer of 2007 at The Nikon at Jones Beach Theater, where the boys played with some of the biggest names in the business including Fallout Boy, The Fray, Goo Goo Dolls and Long Island’s Nine Days. The female lead singer has performed the National Anthem at four New York Jet games, which led to the team calling on the band twice to pump up the crowd at NY Jets Pep Rallies during the 2009 season held at Rockefeller Plaza in NYC.
This New York Rock Band has had as much success releasing their songs as an independent band can hope for. In 2007, their single was featured in an online advertisement for Sony Ericsson. In February of 2009, the band learned that one of their single won 1st runner-up at the 5th annual International Acoustic Music Awards, which helped them gain an invitation to the prestigious Red Gorilla Music Festival in Austin, Texas. In early 2009 another single was picked up by music programming giant MUZAK. The song has been playing nationally in shopping malls, store and restaurants throughout the US. Records show that this single was spun over 200,000 times in 2009 and continues to gain steam into 2010.
New York Rock Band charities
Always willing to make a difference, this New York Rock Band has helped lend a hand to various causes and charities. In the summer or 2008 they gathered corporate sponsors and local Long Island businesses in an effort to raise funds for Ride for Life, a non-profit organization dedicated to finding a cure for Lou Gehrig’s disease. By selling CD’s and performing three concerts throughout the campaign the band raised thousands of dollars and will continue working with Ride for Life as they move toward finding a cure for ALS. More recently, they were a featured act in the 2009 Helping Hands Telethon held at Mohegan Sun Casino in Wilkes-Barre Pennsylvania. The telethon, which raised well over $100,000 for their cause, was aired on FOX’s regional network and reached about 13 millions households state-wide.
When this New York Rock Band is not out pounding the pavement across the region the foursome has been busy writing and recording new material in their studio in Babylon, NY. Their newest creation 31 Strong is set for release to the general public by Lot More Records on June 22, 2010. The highly anticipated album will include some already fan favorites which the band recorded live at a concert on Long Island in September of 2009.
