Tampa One Man Rock Band

This Tampa One Man Rock Band is one of the newest, best and most versatile entertainers to hit the local beach scene. He relocated to St. Pete from San Diego. An accomplished singer and guitarist since he began performing at age ten, his repertoire appeals to audiences of all ages. He specializes in beach music but also covers new country, rock, blues and Motown artists.

Tampa One Man Rock Band background

This Tampa One Man Rock Band was born and raised on a farm in Iowa and began performing with his two brothers at the ripe old age of ten. He was the lead singer in numerous bands in high school and college throughout the Midwest. He was recently informed that his former band has been inducted into the Iowa Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

After college this Tampa One Man Rock Band was employed as a hospital administrator for nearly thirty years. During this time he continued to perform as a solo act from California to Florida as his schedule would allow. In 2003 he retired from his "real job" and re-established his musical career in St. Pete Beach. He regularly performs at American Legion, Veterans of Foreign Wars and Elks Clubs along the Pinellas County beaches. He has also performed on several "Carnival Cruises".

A Vietnam veteran and recipient of the Purple Heart for wounds received in combat, this Tampa One Man Rock Band philosophy on life and music is simply, "Work hard and play hard" (and play hard he does!). As a combat veteran (US Army 101st Airborne Division), he can easily relate to the special needs of veterans past and present and he remains active in Veterans legislation and issues.
