New Haven Harpist 1
This New Haven Harpist is a freelance harpist based in New Haven, Connecticut. She began studying harp at age five and is now pursuing a B.S./Master of Music degree at Yale University, studying with June Han. She was a finalist in three American Harp Society competitions in 1999, 2001, and 2003, and was awarded second place in June 2005.
New Haven Harpist credits
This New Haven Harpist has been on the roster of the Young Musicians’ Foundation Scholarship Winners since January 2005, and was a 2005 National Foundation for Advancement in the Arts award winner in music. She has studied at the Aspen Music Festival and School, playing with the Aspen Festival Orchestra as well as other ensembles under the baton of such masters as David Zinman and John Williams. She was also a guest performer with the Littleton Symphony Orchestra.
New Haven Harpist versatility
Since arriving at Yale, she has played with the Yale Symphony Orchestra and the Yale Philharmonia. In addition to her solo and orchestral work, she enjoys chamber music, playing with her sister in a harp-flute duo, and with other Yale musicians. This New Haven Harpist is available solo or with flute, cello, or voice for a variety of occasions including wedding ceremonies, receptions, and dinner parties.
