The leader of this Los Angeles Tejano Band has played Bajo Sexto for 20 years as part of his band and now continues the tradition of accordion based dance music by fronting his own Conjunto band, inspired by legends like Los Dos Gilbertos and Angel Flores, as well as drawing on Blues and Zydeco influences to create a truly classic American sound.

The source of inspiration is Conjunto Tejano of the South Texas region: Los Dos Gilbertos, Tony de la Rosa, Angel Flores, Nick Villareal and all the great Texas accordion pioneers. Accordion based dance music like Colombian Cumbia, Lousiana Zydeco and American Blues are a natural fit and this Los Angeles Tejano Band has a deep knowledge and relationship with the Blues.

The leader of this Los Angeles Tejano Band is a musician, vocalist, multi-instrumentalist and teacher whose area of focus includes Tejano Conjunto, Salsa, Vallenato, Jazz, Blues and any other music that interests him. Over the past 20 years he has learned to play the piano, bajo sexto, guitar, accordion and to sing. He holds a BFA in Jazz Piano from Cal-Arts '99 and is a certified Apple Professional (ACSP) as well as a member of ASCAP. The leader of this Los Angeles Tejano Band has played all over America and Europe with Los Pochos, Joel Guzman, Alejandro Escovedo, Los Lobos, Dave Liebman, Nicolas Payton and many others including TV appearances on Austin City Limits and 90210.
