This Los Angeles Funk Band is the dynamic collaboration of two of L.A.’s most exciting Jazz, Funk, and R&B visionaries.
Scott — a Baltimore native, award-winning musical director (2005 N.A.A.C.P. Theatre Award), bassist, trumpeter, and vocalist — joins forces with Earl, a versatile guitarist and lead vocalist hailing from Chicago, known for his work with Impromp2, Stephanie Mills, BeBe Winans, and Euge Groove. Together, they fuse deep musical roots and rich experience into a fresh, electrifying sound.
With their second CD under development (hopefully as a major release), this Los Angeles Funk Band (with the addition of several Los Angeles area All-Stars) has established a sound that is sophisticated and funky! Their live stage shows have been described by the local jazz press as "… (jazz supergroup) ‘FourPlay’ on performance-enhancing substances."
